Request Distribution in Multi-Architecture FaaS Systems

Extended the open-source FaaS platform Serverledge to natively support and manage heterogeneous compute nodes (x86-64 and ARM64) across the Edge-Cloud Continuum.
To handle the architectural diversity intelligently, I designed and implemented an Architecture-Aware Load Balancer driven by Reinforcement Learning algorithms (Multi-Armed Bandit, UCB1, LinUCB). Integrated with a Consistent Hashing mechanism, the system dynamically learns function performance across different architectures to optimize request allocation in real-time, effectively minimizing latency and cold start occurrences.
